2.08 New Neighbours

Astrid is uncertain regarding pet protocols, she understands that Skitty has the status of house hold member, but is clearly non human. Astrid is also uncertain why Skitty continues to make buzzing sounds.

Skitty is uncertain why the bony human named Astrid is unaware that in Ancient Egypt, cats were worshiped as gods, humans may have forgotten, cats haven't.

Astrid add 'Pets' to her list of information to acquire, also learning all their is to know about riding horses. This may be useful information if she ever meets one.

The new neighbors arrive by bus, and are moved in over the weekend, Dylan, Natalie, and Dominic spend a lot of time looking over the fence or from the balcony, in the hopes of catching a glimpse.

Lilli has as an appointment with 'The Warden', Jaimie-Lee Sparrow. Casey and Marcus attend the meeting with Lil to sign the final paperwork, and to meet the new 'neighbors'. Under the agreement signed with the Mayor to allow the facility to operate in Elba, Jaimie-Lee has to give all adult neighbors a copy of the files for each of the girls at the trial facility at the Elba premises.

Jaimie-Lee introduces each of her wards to Lilli, Casey and Marcus. They all seem like normal teenagers.

As Astrid's artificial intelligence becomes more self-aware, she develops an artistic streak, many of her works turn out to be self reflections.

When Natalie sees both Lilli and Astrid vanish into the basement, she gathers her brothers to investigate. The triplets wait patiently, (Some of them more so than others.), and are eventually rewarded with the sight of a sliding bookcase, as Astrid exits.

The boys have a quick look around the room and return upstairs, Natalie however, has several questions for Lilli, regarding the room.

"So why did no-one tell us it was here?", asks Natalie. Lilli explains when and why the room was initially built, leaving out only the part where she was able to convince her mothers royal assassin to assassinate the queen instead. "Your Grandmother and I didn't tell Marcus until he was an adult, and he was probably going to tell you then as well.", informed Lilli. "But now you know, if you ever need somewhere to hide, or somewhere to make a lot of noise, this room is it!", says Lil, firing up the chainsaw.

Dominic and Maggie's dates consist mostly of doing their homework together as fast as possible and then spending the rest of the evening playing tonsil hockey until someone interrupts them.

Despite Eric's heavy commitment to both school and the cadet program, Natalie convinces him to go steady with her, and their relationship is now official.

Jasmina complains that her and the other girls from the facility have all been asked to go steady almost a dozen times each in the week since they arrived. "Half of the girls here aren't even interested in boys, they just want to finish the program, age up, and go back to their old lives!", Jasmina says.

"What about you, what do you want?", asks Dylan casually. "Me? Well, the girls who convinced me to make their fake I.D.s, and supplied all the materials, told the courts it was all my idea. So I have no friends to rush back to.", Jasmina explained. "What about family?", Dylan inquired. "Ha!", Jazz laughed, "My mother was so pissed that I had these skills and hadn't been using them to make her money, yeah, nah, we don't talk any more!"

What starts out as a platonic friendship suddenly gets complicated.

"Shit, I got to get back before curfew, thanks for listening to me vent!",

Jasmina climbs out of the spa, and disappears across the yard.

Casey watches unhappily from the balcony.

On Mondays Lilliana uses her fame to collect donations for the op shop charity.

On Wednesdays Lilli helps the elderly with shopping or anything else they need.

On Fridays Lil opens the old junkyard and recycling center.

“How did it get so late, so soon?", Lil asks herself.

Casey and Marcus take advantage of the good weather and the fact that they have the house to themselves at the moment.

After I typed all this up, and before I posted, Steam had a 75% of TS3 DLC,
so I now own all expansion packs, and Fast Lane and Town Life stuff packs.
So, all that as well as 6 Gb of CC... 

Also the first time I booted the game after installing everything, I got the ITF loading screen and the first loader message to pop up was 'Repairing Time Continuum...' Why am I not optimistic!

2.07 Boys And Girls, Start Your Engines!

Natalie and her brothers obtain their drivers licenses and decides to plead the case for cars before her parents. She includes the facts that all three of them are not only scoring A's at school, but all three of them are also currently on the honor roll. Marcus explains that he had to do an advanced safety course to get his car, and offers the same deal to his kids. Pass the course, and get the car of your choice, or fail or not attempt the advanced test, and get a Jalopy, a Lemon, or a Wornado.

The triplets 'Ace The Test'!, and 'Bob And Son, The Builders', soon arrive, to modify the house yet again. It is a very quick job, as very little is needed to fit three more cars. However, getting a specific car from the garage might involve a lot of shuffling.

Lilliana takes the triplets car shopping, trading her old Chev on a utility vehicle that is more suited to her lifestyle at the junkyard and with her charity work.

Dylan chooses a red Land Rover, it has plenty of room for camping gear and tools, and being a four wheel drive, it will go anywhere.

Natalie chooses a purple Volkswagon, as it is modern and stylish, and has a great stereo. The paint has a chameleon effect, sometimes it looks blue, sometimes it looks purple, depending on the lighting.

Dylan had been considering getting a Land Rover the same as his brother's, but changed his mind at the last moment after spotting an old hot rod. It still had room to carry any tools or athletic gear he might want to transport, and flames are always awesome! 

The garage now contains six cars, three scooters, two motorcycles, and three bicycles. The next person to move in might need to be a witch, as there is little space in the garage for anything else bigger than a broomstick!





After Venice had passed away, Lilli had tried to distract herself with as many hobbies as possible. Lilliana, being not just a fairy, but of Royal Fae lineage, would live a very long time, possibly even long enough to see the birth of V's great great great grandchildren.

The though of seeing so many generations of her soul mates descendants, warmed her heart somewhat, However their was still a void. Lilli, at some stage, had decided that she needed a companion for the ages, and as such had created Astrid.

Although Lilli had asked Astrid to try to remain hidden from the family,

until the right time. Casey had glimpsed her working in the garden,

one dark night and had been concerned that it had to do with

the unusual building that appeared next door.

It was now time to introduce Astrid to the family.

Lilli also had to explain about the prison like building next door. Venice and Lilliana had agreed to the council plan to allow the building of a juvenile early release facility in Elba. The teen detainees living in the facility would be on a strict parole system that included a curfew.

Casey wasn't happy with the idea of having a house full of criminals living right next door to her children, Lilli pointed out that she knew the administrator of the facility, and that her aim was to mostly house youth that she considered had been wrongly convicted, or harshly sentenced.
Lilli also pointed out that some of the teen girls that would be living next door were found guilty or excessively charged simply because they were supernaturals,

The administrator had also pointed out that if she filled the trial house with trouble makers and those who were likely to be repeat offenders, that her trial would fail dismally.

Casey was resigned to the fact that everyone thought it was a great idea, except herself.

Natalie had another vision, of what she assumed was a gypsy caravan by the gaudy decorations. She found this vision more disturbing than any of her previous, as she had no understanding of how it related to anything else.

Natalie asked her brothers on the way to school about her visions. "Guys, do you ever, like, have visions, you know, like seeing the future?", Natale asked nervously. She told her brothers of the dream memory like images of the violin, the fire house, and the Gypsy van that she had had.


Dylan and Dominic both shook their heads in the negative. "I assume that if you have visions, it may came from Casey's side of the family, because we don't have them, and lets face it, both of our Aunts are... a bit mental.", Dylan stated.

"The fire house thing, that's something we did that a few weeks ago,", Dom volunteered, "You can't do part time work there as a school student, so we decided to sneak in for a look, we are both thinking of being full time Firey's when we finish school", Dominic added.

"Didn't Margarita's little sister say something about a single circus caravan parked up near the recycling yard the other day at school? Maybe that explains the Gypsy van thing?" Dylan explained.

"If these are true visions, they seem to be past and present when get them, If you are worried about what Mum and Dad might think, talk to Lil or Serena?" Dylan suggested.

Natalie sighed in relief, she had been sure her brothers were going to think she was crazy like her aunts, but instead they were there for her, as always.

Natalie waited until Casey was across the road fishing before making inquiries with Lil. "Your Grandmother Venice only ever had three visions that I know of.", Lil explained
"One was to be one of the greatest rock stars Simnation had ever seen, another was to build a house and legacy to hand down for many generations, the third was for her only son to find someone special to continue that legacy with."

Lilli continued, "I know all three of her visions have come true, but I really don't think the visions you are having are the same thing, If you want I could ask Serena if their is any history of Second Sight, Scrying, or Clairvoyance."
Lilli knew that these paranormal type of powers where far more prevalent in Fae and Witches, than in humans, and vampires, and werewolves where less likely than any other race to have mental gifts. That didn't mean it didn't happen.

Almost every kid in school wanted to go do their homework in the Jettstar household, it was a well known fact that they were most affluent family in Elba, and the house and indoor pool never failed to impress.

Natalie invited Margarita Wong-Jonas home, one of only two other teen females in school, however, after meeting Dominic at the front door, Margarita forgot all about the house, homework, and swimming pools.

Dominic was rather distracted from doing homework as well.

Natalie hadn't really been interested on boys until she met Eric Grayson, Eric was a military cadet, whose parents were both witches, Eric was both athletic and ambitious, and was already working towards his future. Natalie decided he was cute as well, and used the excuse that she wanted him to teach her to dive properly as an excuse to get to know him better.  

Serena was still in great shape for an elder, only a few wrinkles and the gray streaks in her hair giving away her true age. she had recently divorced the triplets stepfather, and had begun dating Nick Wulf-Ogden, he was a few years her junior.

Serena caught her daughter Casey, and Lilli up with the latest family related gossip.
"Alycia is pregnant to Ernest Lum, and they are going to call their boy Lewis.", Serena tried to keep the bitter tone from her voice. "If only she had married Lawrence, he was a nice boy, unlike Ernest, who hasn't even signed his divorce papers yet.".
"Bernadette is pregnant to Martin Ogden, who is my age, and they have decided to call their boy Rocky when he is born.", Serena added, again trying to hide the disappointment in her voice.

"At least one of my babies has her head screwed on straight!" Serena whispers in her daughter's ear. "Yeah, most days!", chuckles Casey.

Despite Natalie getting her first kiss in first, Dominic, the youngest of the triplets is the first to 'go steady'. Margarita visits regularly, and the young couple do their homework together and spend most of their after school time playing video games together. 'Dom' and Maggie' also share a love of athletic pursuits, and while Dom has some skill in painting, Maggie is passionate about art, painting in particular.

Same old, same old with time travel dilemmas, again I blame the possible future purchase of the 'ITF' expansion :P

I have used a batch of Ambrosia to stop some people aging up in the incorrect order, and will have to manually age up some at the correct time. I have also written down my age stage numbers for future reference, in case of future re-installs, etc. :)

Astrid should technically not be in the house because of my RLC rolls for this generation, but with all the new stuff in Ambitions I am using Astrid to explore that, she is not financially contributing to the house hold, not that they need it, with all the spending I'm doing on things outside the household, they still have over §1,000,000. I could chisel this down easily by buying venues, but I'm saving that option for 'property mogul' in a future generation.

2.06 Visionary

Dylan and Dominic race for the bus, to good seats, and to make sure the driver doesn't leave without their sister who takes ten times as long as them in the bathroom, because you know, hair and makeup and stuff.

Dominic and Dylan get detentions on their first day for breaking another students nose. "Seriously Mum, this senior kid comes up to me and tells me how hot the hot red head chick is, and how he is going to shag some fresh meat into next week, so I snapped!" Dylan states. "Yeah, nobody disrespects our sister!", adds Dominic. Marcus talks Casey out of grounding the boys until they age up fairly easily. The triplets quickly work their way up to A's, and with their new found reputation as kids not to mess with, they don't have any other student related problems.





Now that the triplets are teens, Marcus and Casey find they have much more time to themselves, and go on regular outings. One of these outings is to the renaissance fair.

"Don't be too discouraged if you can't hit the target, I did archery on a school camp, and it's not easy.", Marcus tells Casey, as she attempts to nock the arrow properly.

"Oh, it's on!", retorts Casey, "Loser gives the winner breakfast in bed, and a massage every day for a week!"

"Sounds like a win-win to me!", chuckles Marcus.

"I'm going to win because I have pointy ears like an elf!", laughs Casey. "That means you are going to be my slave! For a whole week!"

"Still sounds like a win-win to me!", chuckles Marcus again, impressed that Casey actually made a joke about her pointed ears. It was very rare for Casey to say anything positive about any of her werewolf derived features or abilities.

Marcus recites Casey's favorite poem, this earns him an amorous hug, and several kisses, they only stop when a family with young children arrive at the park, and they take this as a sign that it is time to leave.

"Grilled Salmon for breakfast, all week!" Casey giggles as they exit the fair.
"Don't forget you also won daily massages!", reminds Marcus.
"Not likely!", enthuses Casey, who can't wait.

Marcus has a late night spaghetti dinner, he is halfway through, 'SkittyKitty And The Tricksy Pony', and he can't think of an ending. He has written over fifty books, and this is the first time he has had writers block. Marcus reads the days paper to find his best friend Lawrence has past away. Other than the outing with his wife, the rest of the day has been a disappointment.

Lilli gets a letter delivered by a familiar black winged fairy, who assures Lilli that their secret is safe, and that while King Jasper can not reinstate his disowned siblings as royalty, it is within the law to lift exile, and that he looks forward to Lil visiting him at the palace at her convenience.

The Valkyrie points out to Lil, that even though all of her other siblings received letters to notify the lifting of exile, only Lil was invited to the palace.

The recent changes give Lil pause, and Lilli decided to auction off Venice electric guitar collection, and donate the money to charities. Natalie, who sometimes visits the Op-Shop with Lil, helps pack away the guitars. "Not the acoustic!", says Lil, "That stays in the family."

"I'll put it in my room for now then", Natalie decides.

Later, when Natalie tries to play the 'Pink Cheetah', she gets a vision. It is her, only a few years older.

The next day, Natalie meets up with her Aunt Bernadette, who has some free concert tickets for Casey and Marcus. "Aunt Bernie, did anyone in your family, you know, ever see things?", Natalie asks.

"Well, I'm a werewolf, so I see in the dark, and I'm in show biz, so I see a lot of things people don't want me to see.. sometimes I see monsters under my bed!", Bernie replied. "But if you are looking for advice, you see best with your eyes open!", Bernadette finished vaguely.

Natalie wished she had asked Aunt Alycia or Bernadette's mother Serena instead.

Marcus and Casey enjoyed school time on a more regular basis, they climbed into the spa and reminisced about the early days of their romance.

"Do you remember..", asked Marcus.

"How it had started with a cuddle?"

"And a kiss."

"Damn I hate that green light, it makes me think of aliens!", Casey interrupted.

"My favorite thing about aliens is the probing!", Casey whispers with a wink, leading her husband upstairs to the bedroom.

Dominic works out in his new favorite shirt!!!

Marcus gets a phone call saying that he has been given a special writers award, and decided because it is such a nice day, that he would take the chopper.

He expected an A4 sized framed award, this was a lot bigger and heavier. The award got sent home by taxi. He wasn't exactly sure where to display it, so he put it the main room, near the back door.

Later that night, Natalie had a dream, or possibly another vision, showing both of her brothers at a fire station. She didn't know what to make of it.

Marcus and Casey use the tickets to go see 'The Boiling Emus', a 'Flaming Turkeys' tribute band. The couple thought the band were fantastic, the lead singer sounded a lot like Venice, which made Marcus melancholy.

Each morning for the last week, Marcus had made breakfast, climbed back into bed and fed it to Casey, who grinned the entire time. As Casey had won their challenge, she planned the

weeks events, and after breakfast, that included jogging.

And night fishing.

I have discovered that my town has only 3 female teens, Dominic is related to one, going out with one, and the other has a boyfriend. I am creating a group of  1 YA, and 7 Teen Females to balance the town out a little. You will meet them in the next two chapters.



** FIREFLY SHIRT! **

I have not been able to work with DDS files for many years, even when I had a custom built 3D modeling/ gaming rig. Under win 10, I tried Photoshop 7.0, which won't install, Photoshop Express, which is like Notepad compared to DaVinci, then Gimp, but the DDS plugin won't install, and then finally Paint.Net, which has DDS support built in.

I have a bad habit of installing all the Firefly/Serenity CC I can find (repeatedly), only to realize its for Sims 2, not Sims 3 :P

Now that I have worked out how to do simple stuff, like t-shirt logos, expect clothes uploads on  http://modthesims.info/ in the near future!

I have spent almost a week cleaning dodgy CC that I dumped into the new install on the new laptop, I still have way too much stuff, and some if it is still dodgy, I managed to create a new time anomaly, hopefully I can create a work around so as not to mess with the story flow.
